- upcycled fabrics
- stabilized with interfacing to help keep its shape (though perhaps should have used a higher weight interfacing)
- Reversible design, with the 'inner' lining flipped around the side to create a border around the opposite side
- Created a notch for the power cords on the left side so it would sit flat(-ish)
A rough but practical experiment. My lovely sewing machine is over 20 years old and still works like a dream. However, even the most dedicated of sewing machines succumb to the ravages of dust. While I can't control the constant parade of thread and fabric dust, I wanted to give my machine parts a fighting chance against household dust. So I threw together a quick sewing machine cover. The pic shows it as a little lumpy (primary culprit is the thread spool I left on the top of the machine), but regardless, some features include:
