This was made during my student years, so you will see some cheaper cuts (ie: the border is made from a sheet I got at a second hand store) as well as repeats from other projects (check out this quilt-- you will see some of the same orange fabric, for example). I also tied it with the four colors of yarn to follow the blending accordingly.
While it is not the most luxurious, it is one of the quilts that I felt most chuffed about when I finished it. The squares are not epically small of course, but it was the first time I worked with such small pieces and it felt great to play around with some of the color blending. And it was one of the first times I went free-hand without any pattern and the quilt came out more or less the way I was picturing it in my head.
So in classic retrospective style: where are they now!? Well, it now resides in my sister's living room covered in cat hair (barf) but still being used and enjoyed years later.
