Yes, that is indeed a reference to a one-hit-wonder band from the 1990s... another blast from the past in commemoration of one of the first big quilting projects I undertook. Heather S. and I grew up together in Sussex, NB and loved creating things: from playdough creations to Sears catalogue wish lists to our own cookbook (shout out to HA's!). In 1994 (as evidenced by the pic below), we took added quilting to the list of creative adventures, and despite being novices (or perhaps because of this), we were quite disciplined in the design.
