Hello!
Thanks for popping by! My name is Amy, a lady with many passions-- including sewing up a storm with an eye-candied array of vibrant, mostly-upcycled fabric. I am not really sharing tutorials or patterns on this blog-- but feel free to poach an idea or design. I make everything up in my head, on the fly or depending on a particular theme or color I want to play with. I have set this blog up more with the intention to archive some of the sewing projects I have worked on/ am working on and who I gave them to. But why not share the eye-candy in case others are interested?
In general, feel free to drop me a line to chat if anything floats your boat, and I welcome chit chat to learn more about the sewing projects you are working on! |
My approach
|
When it comes to sewing projects, I focus on fabric piecing, improvised patterns, playing with color--- all while creating useful and delightful items for people with fabrics and materials that deserve a second chance. I lean towards less traditional, formal quilting (though I love that too!) and instead tend to go with my gut and follow where a project/the colors/the fates are taking me. In short, I enjoy every minute that I get to create with fabric!

I learned to sew from my mom, whose most recent obsession is making rope bowls which she sells to benefit the local foodbank.
