Features/ lessons learned include:
- LOVE the big pocket in the front! However, it is quite big... (ie: the entire front face of the bag). I like doing these inset zippers-- next time will attach a smaller facing to make it more of a pouch than a full bag-sized pocket
- Nice long handles which I love, especially in the winter to get the straps through my puffy winter jacket
- Used rainbow thread to top stitch everything for a little extra flair
- Added some panels of the instrument fabric to the bottom which I like. Had to add a shard of red to make the dimensions work, but it was nice to use all of the fabric on this piece
- My intention in making this bag was to make something that fit my long music stand in the bottom. I didn't use a pattern (as usual... perhaps there is a learning there) but I carefully measured everything and all was going well... until I boxed my corners... sigh. So the stand does not fit perfectly as I had envisioned. But the bag still does the trick and looks kinda cool while doing so... :)
- I may be adding a button to the top just to keep things closed in transit
